My friend and I are going get married soon. Each has children from previous marriages. I wanted to get something good for our children, who are 15, 10 and 8. I found these chains sterling silver with beautiful interlocking rings at Tiffany's, and would be symbolic and reflective thinking to donate a piece jewelry with a ring on the ground to symbolize the union of our two families. We could give them just before the ceremony or immediately afterwards. My daughter would get One of the girl with the interlocking rings, and children receive a heavy chain with a ring hanging from her male. We spend about $ 35K for marriage not counting the honeymoon, but my friend thinks $ 175 is a lot of money to spend on a gift for children. He also believes that the symbolism is too. I think his intentions are good, and if you tell me who had three daughters and they were a little older, I agree with you it is a nice feeling and would like your gift and wear it often. However, since two of them are male, and I'm not sure what the 8 and 10, but I can not imagine a child of any age to wear chains. My problem is not necessarily the amount of the gift, but if the gift of self, even be appreciated.
