Does Alexandrite natural glow red under ultraviolet light?
I bought an antique alexandrite ring and cluster diamonds, alexandrite is approximately 1 carat. seems real because he has a deep forest green with a blue tint to it. Schiller through it when watching the shadows and angles seem to have a dark red or purple to some extent under incandescent light. I said he could not perhaps as alexandrite should be bright glow cherry red under ultraviolet light and must be one other stone like sapphire, tourmaline strange color. I searched high and low for any reference to that UV light and matter can find no reference to that. Someone Does the answer please? It is this glowing light under the ultraviolet light of truth or do some brightness and other not??
No, quite the contrary. Alexandrite is a blue-green light of the sun (or UV) and a shade of red under incandescent light. The shadow varies slightly depending on the amount of impurities in the mineral chromium.
Beyond the screen: the Beverly Hills real City: 5.7 square mile northwest of downtown Los Angeles has played countless roles in our fantasies, as well as small and large screens. However, Beverly Hills is much more than what you saw on TV or cinema.
