Does anyone know a good jeweler would give an honest assessment of a ring?
I have a ring 1 carat diamond which belonged to my aunt. It is from the 1930s and the bank is platnium. I have this ring of ruby and gold ring from my mother my uncles bank gold to a jewelry store here in Rhode Island and they offered me $ 150.00 for the 3 rings. I laughed, the sentimental value is worth more than that.
If you receive an assessment for insurance, a jeweler with a GIA certificate will do. However, if you want to sell, forget get anything even close to the pricing "value. I sold a ring bought for $ 20,000 for the jeweler to me offered the highest price. The "separated" out and received a total of $ 1200. I'm sure he rebuilt and made a fortune.
