White Sapphire E-Ring?
Anyone on here who has one? How about another genuine gemstone (excluding moissanite) which looks like diamond but isn't?
We've been looking at rings, and I'll admit I love the big sparkly ones (who doesn't?). We can afford a few thousand, but I really can't, really CANNOT, justify that much for a piece of jewelry. So it has me thinking alternatives.
White Sapphire (natural/NOT lab-grown) or White Topaz. Anyone have e-rings with these stones and not diamonds? Whaddya think?
And by "whaddya think?" I mean, do you/did you ever have any regrets about not getting a genuine diamond? Is the sparkle the same as a diamond? Are people generally put off by the fact that it's not a "real" diamond?
I think a White Sapphire Ring would be better if you are thinking of containing your budget. Moissanite has a green hugh and it is not going to give you the same sparkle as a sapphire. I have seen white sapphires before and they really give off a nice pop. You might also try reviewing Google search for online pictures of white sapphires. They are definitely more affordable than diamonds. Some people just don’t have the budget for a’ real diamond’ so then they get the next best thing which is a precious stone. White Sapphires are hard stones so you don’t need to worry about chipping when setting it in your favorite ring.
Good Luck!

Brilliant Impressions: Antique Paste & Other Jewellery, from June 15 to June 29 at S.J. Phillips, an antique and silver dealer in London, is a charming, slyly subversive exhibition.
