Would I be able to play The Orange Box if...?

I can play the The Lord Of The Rings: Battle For Middle Earth Anthology? The O Box is a present for my brother, who uses his laptop to play the LOTR Anthology game. These are the requirements for the LOTR game:

Windows XP
Processor: 1.6 GHZ
RAM: 256MB
CD-ROM: 8x or faster DVD drive
Hard Drive: 6.0 GB or more free space
Video Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible Video card with 64 MB or more memory and one of these chipsets is required: ATI Radeon 8500 or greater; NVIDIA GeForce 3 or greater (GeForce 4 MX not supported)
Processor: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

Would he be able to play The Orange Box?

Yes. The Orange Box games are based on Half life 2 engine which is a fairly old game engine so your computer should be able to handle it. The orange box games also offer lots of graphics tuning options so you can find the best graphics settings that will suit your computer.

your computer will handle Portal fine, as for Team fortress 2 and Episode 2, you might want to tone down the settings a little bit.

(to the guy below) 256 is the system requirement for LOTR, not how much ram she/he has.
