Is it ok to not wear my engagement ring after our wedding?
We got out wedding bands today, and I love them. They are a simple gold band. My Diamond Engagement Ring is very beautiful, a family heirloom, and I treasure it, but I find that it is heavy and annoying for everyday wear. Is it acceptable to wear it for special occasions, leaving my wedding band on at all times? Would that be considered ungrateful? I have worn it for 6 long years now, 24 hours a day, and i always feel aware of it. It would be a relief.
I do believe it is ok to just your wedding ring, after all that is all he is wearing, but on the real as long as you let him know that, you love the ring very much, but at time is too heavy for you and you think is better if you just wear it on special Occasion, he should be able to understand and should not think is ungrateful of you.
