How do i get ink out of the settings of my engagement ring?
I spilled red ink on my hand and now its stained my diamond ring, i think its trapped in the settings. How do i clean this? Is there any special solution i can use that removes ink?
I like the hairspray and toothbrush suggestion. Harispray has a paint thinner in it that will loosen the ink and brush will help remove it. You can also get jewelry cleaner in jars from a local jewler. If neither of those work you can have it professionaly cleaned. Diamond is the hardest stone even direct heat won't hurt it. Ammonia would still be safe too, it is used by professionals in a heated bath to clean jewelry.
