Taurus M-4510 (Night Court Judge) aka "The Judge"?
After reading Randy's response, and being a Retired Police Officer myself, I took note of his opinions on the Taurus.
Well, I bought a Judge for my Wife for Mother's Day. She thought a combo .45 LC/.410ga. was pretty neat)
I'm also a Toolmaker, and I just HAD to drag out my "tool goodies" and tear it apart. All parts fit well, it Rockwelled well (as compared to my Mod. 19 Smith) and it appears that Taurus has cleaned up it's act here. Cylinders were within .001.
The weapon fired well; trigger pull is smooth. I'm not real fond of a 9 1/2 lb. trigger pull, but it's ok. Recoil is managable, probably due to the fact that the 3" bbl. weapon weighs 29 oz. empty.
She put every .45 LC right in the X ring at 7 yards. When she got to the .410's [#4 shot], she HAD to put #1 square in the head. #2 went square in the privates.
She wanted this for Hope Protection and Concealed Carry. I finally convinced her to carry .45LC's, as after looking at the shot pattern, a .410 would just POff someone
