Which finger is the finger of the commitment of the United Kingdom and there is a difference in Hong Kong?

My friend recently became engaged and is also confused as to which finger is supposed to use the ring. She is British, but her boyfriend is Chinese, so maybe a cultural difference. Is the ring or middle finger of his left? or is the Ring Finger right? I always thought he was in the same finger as their wedding ring, but is much difference of opinion online so I'm really confused! I also learned that each finger represents the various processes of the relationship, Courtship (thumb), dating (index), dedicated (center) and marriage (rings). So what right? Thank you in advance!

He said the left ring finger had a vein that leads directly to the heart and therefore the left hand is often used. A wedding ring is often worn on the left ring finger, which is the fourth finger of the left thumb. But in some countries such as Bulgaria, Norway, Germany, Poland and Russia is focused on the right ring finger. In the 17th century, the thumb is the finger ring wedding in England.
